Post subject: | 13.5 Gear Setup |
Hi, I have just purchased myself my first onroad car, and I'm trying to understand the gearing ... T4 14model I race the car mainly indoor on carpet, and it would be smallish in size, I run a 13.5 motor - how do I work out what is the best gearing ? I will also run the car on a medium / large outdoor track - would the gearing be different being a larger track ? Slower accelerating but larger top speed ? Cheers for the help. Mike |

Indoor; 7.5 Outdoor; 6.5 I would keep an eye on motor temperatures, and that gearing is estimates based on the 13.5 boosted I run as I don't know the actual tracks. Should give you a reasonable starting point. |

Max temps really depends on the manufacturer you choose, but in their instructions they usually tell you the temps. |

Hello. With 13.5 motor you have not enough traction power. By this reason I recommended use the smallest spur/pinion depends on regulations and track conditions. |
