What’s the best way/correct way of measuring shock length? Overall length or the shock shaft? Do you change the length of shocks between asphalt and carpet? If so what should I run on both? |

I don't know anyone who changes shock length to tune the handling. Just make sure you have enough to give you the max droop you'll ever need, and leave it there. I used to measure overall length but find measuring the shaft length is actually easier. 9.5mm is how I always set mine, which allows all the droop you'll ever need, and still has a sensible amount of the end threaded on to survive crashes. |

I always measure the distance between the bottom cap and shock body. Distance is same for carpet and asphalt. All 4 shocks should be 100% equal |
