Post subject: | Belt driven maintenance tips |
I am buying a Buddy's 2012 T3. Since till Now i have had a AE TC3(shaft driven) for touring car what are tips and tricks that someone should learn about, Maintaining a Belt driven car? is it more durable than a TC3? any advice would be welcomed! we run 17.5 on 2s so its not insane speed. |

Every couple of meetings I spray the belt with brake cleaner/motor spray and use an old toothbrush across it to remove some of the crud that builds up. |

I use whatever I have at the time, it's just to loosen the dirt a little bit for I use the brush |

All I do is check the pulleys for any grit/stones that might be stuck in the teeth. And check the belts/pulleys for damage. But usually I do a whole season on one set of belts and pulleys, so very minimal maintenance required. |

Depends what surface you run on, on carpet I never even look but outdoor our track is really dusty with lots of tiny stones and therefore I check pulleys/belts and clean between heats |
