Post subject: | T1 FK'05 Optional Spur Gears |
Recently purchased the 87 and 90 tooth XRAY spur gears for my T1 FK'05. The 90 tooth spur gear extends below the underside of the standard 2.5mm chassis which surprised me as it is listed as an FK'05 optional part. Short of shimming all of the bulkheads, motor mount, etc off the chassis it looks like the 84 and 87 tooth spurs are the only practical options. |

It has been well documented that the 87t is the largest 48 pitch gear you can run with a 2.5 m chassis, if you have the 3 mm chassis you can run the 90t without it sticking out the bottom. 64p is the only way you will get a gear selection that does not jump almost 30 points at a time. I just don't want to run 64 outdoors because I don't think they will be durable enough. |

87t is the most you want to be running, i tried a 88t and it was flush with the 2.5mm chassis but it picked up all kinds of crud from the carpet surface i am running on |

Just wondering, does any of the RW and Kimbrough spurs fit the 05? Charles |

Hi, yes the rw spurs and the kimborough ones do fit but be aware of which rw spurs you get as the old ones will need drilling but if you get the newer up to date versions then they will be fine just check with who you buy them off if they are the new ones or the old ones so that you know weather they will need drilling before hand Ben ![]() |

You can Purchase a PRS 116 Tooth (Precision Racing Systems ) Spur Gear, which works great on the stock 2.5mm Chassis in addition to the 3.0 chassis if you run it! Their is no need to drill or sand down like the Kimbrough Spur Gears! ![]() Attached below is link to there web site: http://www.precisionracingsystems.com/products/9 64 Pitch Spurs - Pro-Lite Oval Best Regards Alex Cortez |
