hi all had a xray t3 2011 on the shelf for a while was secondhand.decided to use it.it has had the ball diff replaced with a geared diff at the rear and has 52 mm swiss shafts. i have noticed when you set the camber the shafts sit right in to the out drives and bind the suspension.should it have had the 50 mm shafts fitted.if so will the 52mm fit in the front okay as the fronts are badley worn and find some 50mm for the rear. thanks for any help. |

The rear shafts are aluminium. They won't last very long in the front I'm afraid; the loads are too high for ally. Given the cost of new driveshafts, I'd probably put the ball diff back in, and sell the car (keeping the gear diff as a spare). Then pick up a decent T3'12 or T4, having a good look at the driveshafts before handing over any cash |
