Firstly I would like to thank all at Stafford today for the great days racing that has been put on.

Secondly my car was pants.
Thirdly the driver wasn't much better.

first run the car under steered badly just wouldn't go round a corner at all. I used the sorex set up for the car from the set up sheets.

I changed a couple of things like shims and standing the rear shocks up.

This did then make the car turn in much better along with some radio setting changes but it also snapped in the corner and then spin when applying the power which become frustrating for me and other drivers as I was facing the wrong way.

so what do we suggest.

one suggestion I have had is to move the rear top camber link to the inner hole and stiffer springs on the rear.

remove the ackerman shim,go to a 1.3 rear roll bar and go back to 4 hole 1.1 pistons and 400cst,raise the rear ride height to 5.3,droop 5.5 f and 4 r, 2mm bump steer shim and 2mm on the front outer camber links and you can add some more camber 2deg
this worked great for me today on low grip tarmac so will be even better given the grip from carpet,its what i ran at newbury (carpet)recently
you can also remove the foams from the shocks and set them up with no rebound
and im currently running with 1.5 mm on the rear inner links

What do you mean by the 1.5 on the rear links

I think he means 1.5mm shim on the rear inner link , instead of the 2mm thats on your set up ..

Andrew, are you sure you've filled out the roll centre blocks correctly?

According to your sheet you have 2.5 degree rear toe in, but the blocks would equate to 3.5 rear toe.

Try a 1mm rear shim on the rear bulkheads. It gives better in corner steering and more on power grip. At least that's what I found out with my ride rex 30 tires when I tried it back to back with a 2mm shim.
