I think it would improve the handling (a little). But I vote against it because I just started with RC-racing and will buy a FK'06 car (I think, if it comes) BUT I invested heavely in the hobby and don't want to throw away 2 full sets of springs! |

sounds like a good idea to me ... lower CoG, fit more shells onto it, less weight? |

I would vote for it too. Before I bought the 04FK I was running the "AEast" conversion for the Yok SD. One of the options for the conversion was lowered shock towers for the front and rear. I had to get shorter shock shafts and run shorter, harder springs from the Yok Nitro car but it was worth it. Handling seemed sharper, less body roll and just plain faster around the track. The car's designer Andy East had himself a super low set made - so low infact that the top of the wheel was the highest part of the chassis! He then went on to win the southern stock national championship in the UK two years on the trot. Read into that what you will..... James |

hey i have looked at making my own shock tower for the front but the New Zealand rules state you can only run origanal parts that every racing has access to so that means no making my own shock tower and no drilling holes. chaasis must stay as manufacture specs ![]() |
