Hi, I've run 17.5 boosted since T3'12 realise. The problems started since I've get T4. Motor overheating, slow in corners... When i get my T4 in right direction, decided to get new T4'14 i was amazed about that, how easy to drive is it, about steering precise etc. The problem started on medium size carpet track. The car is slow, seems to be the slowest, mainly in corners, but still the easiest to drive Touring Car I have ever run. I am running almost standard setup, but with 400 CST in shocks and 2000CST in rear diff. Using ECS on front, white cevlar belts and arm stiffers. The 'best' car for me was T3'12, not much easy to drive, but the fastest and easy to win, competitive, enough agresive. Second problems: Overheating on Tekin 17.5 Gen2 After revers polarity in Tekin RS Gen2 I get friend's HobbyWing V3.0 Speed Controller In 3.5, 4 minute of run temperature is over 95 degrees, car is slowing down and after race engine is about 105-110 degrees. My FDR 1:5.42, standard setup. Can you send me your speed controller setups for medium - tight carpet tracks with medium grip? Maybe my driving style from agressive T3'12 is the wrong way to race T4'14? Best Regards, Maciej Marcinek |

sounds like your overgeared if its a tight twisty track, on a fairly large but technical track in 13.5 i ran 7.9 fdr so at a guess you will need around 6 to 6.5 |

I had overheating issues when I first started using 13.5 boosted on a hobbywing V2.1 and actually reduced the default settings. Not sure what if anything has changed in the V3 firmware but 200rpm/degree and 0 delay to make it smooth, then start with boost timing low 10 or so and check temps, then increase boost timing till you get an acceptable temp. If the car is still slow and hot check everything is running free and if poss try another motor as a comparison, What do other racers at your track use? Just another thought that you mention reverse polarity, if it has ever been done on the hobbywing there is a fuse on the capacitor board that blows and without it you lose all punch |

Generally drivers running Xerun V3.1+Muchmore 17.5, Orion Combos (Was running Orion, great preformance, almost perfect but Tekin Combo is a little bit faster), and Nosram Combos. My team mate runs Tekin Combo with FDR 1:5.1 - 75 Degrees and one of fastest car on the track. Maybe i have problems with speedo setup. Tekin has Its own program, like LRP/Nosram. When I set up Orion, the temperature wasn't low (85-90 Degrees) but car was competitive. What about chassis setup, where can I look for cornerspeed? Was trying front geardiff too, little bit better, but not as good as 'old' t3'12. Thanks, Maciej |

You have highlighted the best setups around and have a good all rounder yourself so speed wise but there will be better, personally think you have a faulty component (or maybe set up) but thinking more component. I will be running my 14 17.5 blinky high geared but HW Esc SP motor and do not expect any speed issues |

I'll be testing it in next week. When i solve ESC prolem, will be working on chassis setup. Thanks |
