Hi, i know how to clean the bearings but i was wondering how to get the bearings as good as new, would the Fastrax rpm boost be good enough (FAST02-1), i think it is something like microlin oil or something but in a fastrax bottle?, or would the trinity royal oil be good enough? Charles |

Hi Charles, for your bearings i surgest you use trinity royal oil as this is what i have used for the past year now and all my bearings run really free i aslo know alot of drivers here in the U.K use it as they think it is really good also Ben ![]() |

The royal oil is good, but the rpm boost is so much better if you can afford £14 a bottle. Free's up the transmission nicely - especially the layshaft. |

I wash bearings initially in a ultrasonic bearing bath in lighter fluid, then flush and clean the bath. I then soak bearings in the bearing boost for 10-15 minutes in the same bath. When they are done I leave them on a sheet of kitchen towel for 5 minutes to dry up the excess. The remaining fluid goes back in the bottle for next time. I get about 15 washes from a bottle - a little seems to evapourate each time you use it. They definately get much more free after the second treatment. I can leave the seals in using this type of bearing bath. Hope this helps Phil. |

You can also try Dip Bearing Oil from HYBRID, a japanese company. |
