Post subject: | Modifications for Putting 28mm foam on the rear of an '05 ki |
Hi, I have an '05 kit and I am mainly going to run it on carpet. When building it, I trimmed the a-arms like the instructions explained and the wheels still rubbed on the lower shock mount. I grinded a little more material away on the arm and I had to grind a little on the lower shock mounts as well. Is there any thing I can do to not have to grind on the lower shock mounts? Any suggestions on this would be greatly aprreciated. Also I am running Jaco tires, just in case you are wondering. Thanks, Brad |

Show us a closeup pic of the arm on the shock mount side without the shock attached. |

Jilles, Did you just grind the a-arm as the manuel suggests? If so, I did that and the wheel still rubbed the bottom shock mount. You are running in the outside hole on the arm, correct? Are the new Jaco wheels a little bigger in diameter than the old ones? |

Hi Brad, We grinded the rear arms a little bit further then the end of the arm. You can also try the inner shock position. The car is stable enough and it got better steering. Good luck with it. Jilles |
