I had it too a few times. If you have high grip it's possible in a quick corner that your rim touches / hits / rubs the shock. (Notice the black ring in your rim) Use either harder rims or remove some plastic from the shocks ball end, on the out-side. Or drive slower, but that's not an option I presume ![]() |

Thanks for the input. I was thinking about that also. I think what I'm going to try is a 1mm axel spacer which should give me the clearance and the HPI shock ends, they are smaller and fit tighter with good movement and no slop. John T. |

You can also use the tip posted in the FAQ thread and in the Tips and Tricks section (). As to the pivot pin bending, I don't think that it's due to using inboard toe-in. I have been running XRay cars for 4.5 years now and have never bent a rear pivot pin and only once at the front after a high speed crash at an unfortunate angle. It seems to me like you must be hitting something in that particular corner (the kerbs???) that is causing the problem. Any chance to get a picture of that corner? |

Use a 3x10 button head screw through the ball in the lower shock mount instead of the set screw. No more shock popping off I promise. |
