Well, at last I´ve tried the car without sway bars in this weekend 3rd round of the Regionals. I hadn´t felt the car much faster but more consistent, I had just an error in the hole race (which did cost me the race). This weekend there were some top ten national drivers attending at the race, but I was confident with the car handling. I took the TQ again and three perfect hole shots in every leg of the finals, but my car in every final performed perfect the first 2 minutes, let me took at least 10 seconds, but then came slower and slower finishing at the end 2nd overall after a 2nd place in every heat. I don´t know what did happen with the car, it feels as damaged batteries, but they have just 6 or 7 charges and I take care of them. May motor overheating cause slowing down? I used 6,8 ratio and temp was about 35ºc and no other car seemed to suffer the same problem. We race handout 19t motors so I can´t check it after the race. See ya!! |

do you mean the car is slower down the straights or slower in the corners?? if it is the handling that gets worse then it could be that your tyres are overheating, in which case go to a harder compound of tyre. |

No, I felt much less punch and quite slower all around. At the end of the leg the track became more difficult to handle due to tire overheating, but we carry control tires. |

Definitely sounds like gearing, motor or batteries. I'd try changing the gearing first and running two teeth smaller on the pinion first to see if the car keeps the same initial punch for a longer time or the entire run, even if it has less punch than with your current gearing. Might also be an overheating speed controller. |
