Post subject: | Pavement Setup for Stock T1R |
Hi all, Excellent forum you have here! I'm looking for a good setup for my T1R on a fairly open, large, somewhat smooth parking lot pavement track. I completly re-built my car and retuned it to box stock settings. I was setup for a tight carpet track on foams, but now it time to switch to the outdoors My Setup so far.... Box Stock setup, and no hop up parts whats so ever P2K2 motor 93 spur / 24-26 pinion CS22 tires (27 for when it gets warmer out) This car was a killer on carpet, now I need a little advice for pavement. Thanks, OrangeT1R |

try replacing the rear blue springs with the violet ones, same as front. depending on grip, might try to raise rear roll center for low grip conditions. |

We use sugar water for traction, no problems there. My main competition are graphite xxx-s, and the top 5 drivers all have the same driving skills as I do. I'm hoping to show them what an Xray car can do... well a T1R anyway.... |

T1r's very fast, owned one not to long ago, then i got a fk04, do you have any option parts installed. i would recomend getting the low ratio pulley set. and useing 64 dp gears, for they are alot smoother, and can achive more precise gear ratio's. |

Found a nice setup finally. Our track fast and flowing but bumpy low grip parking lot pavement. I started with Box stock then I... changed rear toe to 2 deg. changed rear springs to AE Copper 40w oil all around with 1 hole on all shocks leaned the shocks as far in as possible on the shock towers leaned the shocks out as far possible on the suspension arms 26mm 40s foams on the front 28mm 40s foams on the rear wheelbase at the max. Low ratio pully, 26T pinion, 93 spur, P2K2. On rails now and feels very planted in the straitaways. |
