After reading Tony's tips in the FAQ section (and because I have a pitbox full of 64dp pinions) I am changing over. Here is a chart showing (in red) the combinations which should work according to Tony's comments. Test fitting tonight/tomorrow so I will update on what does and/or doesn't fit. hope this helps |

Yes - the FK 05 worked out using Tony's calculation of Spur Gear Teeth + Pinion Teeth - to be between 135 to 151. Your friends total is 152 - so not far away. Interesting that your friend is using HPI spurs - are these the purple ones because I have a load of them and they do not fit. |

As you can see I have opted to stay on the safe side in the FAQ with regards to 64Dp as the team never uses 64Dp. With regards to 122 spurs, they will presumably fit but will also presumably stick out below the chassis line slightly with the 2.5 and 2mm chassis (same diameter as 90 teeth in 48Dp...). So we recommend against using 64Dp spurs above 116t although up to 120t is probably still ok. |
