Greetings.

I am a proud owner of the above car and recently tried to play for the first time on a tight, small, technical, medium grip carpet track. It seems very difficult for me to have constant time laps. Everybody else seems so fast at that track.

Any advice on setup and things to have in mind would be really helpfull.

Ι have been using Sweep 32R, Sweep 30 & 36 EVO and Sorex 28.

I have found I have more traction with sorex tires but they unglue in every run.

I use basic carpet setup except :

-0.75 rear roll center
front 2.8 springs
front 1.3mm antiroll bar
more front droop than rear. I have found it helps me more on on power steering but makes the car slower in chicanes.
2000 oil for rear diff
500 oil front and rear suspension

If you find that the car is inconsistent and a bit hard to drive. May I suggest the following changes:

400 cst shock oil front and rear / 0 rebound / no foam

front 1.4 and 1.3 rear arb

droop should not exceed 5.6 in front! with 4.6 rear. measured over ride height, 3mm front and 3.5-4mm rear uptravel

3K rear diff for smoother corner entry

Actually when I think about it, lowered rear roll center (-0.75mm) will make the car turn in harder. I would probably suggest standard rear roll center. Yes, 2.8 front springs was the typical choice when we ran the 2012 car.

Alex has basically explained how my 12 is set up, get some thin CA glue and re glue between runs.
I tend to start a race meeting with no additive on front tyres, and reduced steering rate till grip comes up then add steering rate and additive if needed

This was the last sheet I filled in at the Tuesday club night.
Am testing a 3K rear diff tonight but in my T2009 just to see how that feels as that car always had too much steering on carpet

Had an absolute nightmare unfortunately, snapped a rear belt in the first heat after a shunt at the end of the straight, and the spare I thought I had was for the 09.

Was forced to run the 09 which was an experience, the 3k rear diff really helped settle the steering down, was still way off the top pace but quicker than some newer chassis.
