Post subject: | FK'04 batteries |
I got now a '04 & '05. I'm planning to rebuild the '04 so the batteries can be put on 1 side as in the '05. The reason for it is that I can make all battery packs side by side (||||||) and glued together, just for my convenience. I allready got the original holder for it. Has anyone experience with driving a FK'04 with all cells on one side? And are there special thing in the setup (or anything else) to take into account? Thanks in advance for any tips. Sorry man. I cant help you out here. I know what you are saying it would be cool just to have all six cells in a row and not have them and saddle packs to deal with. |

hi joep, i also run a very hoped up fk04 with my cells all on the left side, with the pack on on eside it is very important to make sure the shocks are as equal as possible on both sides of the car, in length spring rate and dampening, idk if it helps but i have foun that the 04 works best with the batt on the left. cheers ask me if you need any thing clarified. |

Joep, Did you bevel the battery mounting holes in the chassis so they sit as low as possible? Also, try putting a thin (1mm) sheet of rubber underneath the strap. I believe it is included, but if not you should be able to get it at any good hardware store (e.g. from TESA). |
