when you buy the spring steel wheel axles make shaw you get the right size as there are two different sizes because the t1 car came with the pivot ball suspension the standard wheel axles for the front of the car were shorter and so when they made the spring steel ones they had to be made smaller and these are the ones which are discontinued i think and in the later cars because they were using the c hub suspension made the wheel axles longer i know that the fko4 uses the longer ones as does all the cars uing the c hub suspension i know you can get hold of the whhel axles but you will have to ring around a few different places as some might not have them i am not shaw on part numbers for these items i know that xray had them on back order a little while ago now so maybe Tonyv or Mario might be able to clarify this for and give you the part numbers for them
