Giorgio - nice to see you to come from the XB8 thread to T1 as well and nice to see you like the XRAY that much that you started to race different category just to stay with your XRAY baby
For a novice I would suggest to start looking what people in your club do or what your local dealer will suggest. Of course all the great people at this forum will help you as well.
I suggest in the beginning to read the HUDY Set-up Book which you good with the kit, it includes all the theory you need to know about an on-road car. For the electronics, as batteries, motors, speedos, you will definitely need to get some advise from manufacturer or from your local hobby shop. You do not need to buy the latest and best stuff for beginning, just something moderate will be good enough and you can upgrade all the time you will improve your racing skills.
As you will be running on foams, it is a way more easy than when you would run on rubber tires. There are no extra parts needed, but I would suggest to with the wider top deck and you will need for sure stiffer springs. Please read the which includes some important Tips 'n Tricks and especially the information how to set-up the car for foams.
And always remember to have fun and enjoy the hobby.
