XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi all,

I run on rubber on a tight indoor carpet track. My car is a T1FK with the XRC chassis. I'm running light blue with 4 holes at the rear, blue at the front with 3 holes and a front one-way. I also have a front roll-bar. Otherwise all other setting are per the manual setup and ride height is 5.5mm. We run control tyres - Schumacher Carpet Dragons - so no choice here.

Whilst the car is going relatively well, my car is rolling a little too much. On the outer edges of the XRC chassis, you can see carpet burn. I can also see that the faster cars are taking the corners with greater flow and speed than mine - this is adding up to .2 of a second over a 7.4 second lap - which soon adds up after 5 minutes.

I am concerned about increasing the spring strength all-round on the basis that my rear-end grip is already on the edge. Its loose, but only just - which is how I like it. Anymore and the car would be uncontrollable. The car is also very pointy.

How would you reduce this roll, whilst maintaining at least the current level of corner grip - and remove some of the pointy steering.

Have you tried using heavier oil to settle down the car?

XRayFan's suggestion is something you should try. I would also recommend building your shocks with more rebound so the car will transition smoother.

To reduce front roll I suggest you raise the front roll center by using the upper holes instead of the middle holes. Also, play around with the downstop settings as these can be used to reduce roll (more downstop = less roll).

I run on t27`s & i have found this to be very good on carpet(this will be used at carpetwars)
x-ray 30wt f&r,3 hole openf&r,light blues f&r,lower holes on rear bulkhead,kit shock positions f&r,diff in front(perssonal choice) & this is doing 10.5 sec laps

what about swaybars? would this help or is this mainly for fast tracks
