Post subject: | Out doors 04 FK gearing 27t stock |
Hi guys, I am wanting some help with gearing sugestions if possible. I race 27t stock and use the factory ratio on the 04 FK, its an out door track that has approx 40m straight and a fairly tight infield. It was my first time out ever with the car today and even struggling with the gearing I still managed to pull 2nd overall so I was stoked ![]() I was strugling out of the corners, it just seemed to have no punch... I had to use a 93t spur as it was the only one i have for it and the final race it was a 93/27 combination . This was ok but not great. Should i use a smaller spur maybe ? I can appreciate that you cant tell me the perfect gear combination but just a good starting point would be great. Thanks in advance Michael |

27 seems a bit big for that spur to me. i was running a 23 on saturday with a good amount of power. id say experiment with spurs from 23-26 teeth. sometimes dropping or picking up just one tooth on your pinion can make all the difference you need |
