I built my T4 2014 as per the kit and it has been fantastic to drive, really enjoying it. In building to kit I used the plastic shims on the hinge pins and there is now a very small amount of movement. Should I use very thin shims to remove this movement or should I replace the kit plastic shims with alloy? Bit worried the alloy might wear on the plastic inserts on the hinge pin holders? |

loosen the arm mounts at the chassis ,gently squeeze the mounts together as you retighten them, problem solved! i found a small amount of play in the rear uprights,on the pins, these were shimed 0.3 to cure it shim in the forward position to keep the correct wheelbase |

Alloy are more precise! But if you have play, try to push your arm mounts together while you tighten the screw from the bottom. It requires some technique, to get it completely right. |
