XRAY - Model racing cars

As per the title, can the T2'008 be fitted with the Xray Gear Diff, or do you have to go aftermarket parts such as the Spec-R gear diffs?

I have Spec R's in my T2 009 but that's due to Xray not making 34t gear diffs. I think the 008 ran 38t diff pulleys so theoretically yes they should fit but a guy on another forum could not fit them in a T2R. If you can find someone at a race club with 1 you could try?

I run a gear diff in my T2'009 (which is basically the same as the T2'008). There is a conversion kit which includes the 38 tooth spool, 38 tooth diff pulley and longer belts. You can still find it listed on the XRay website, but whether you will find the kit at shops is a different matter.

At the least you can buy all the parts individually.

I find the rear belt to be a little tight with the gear diff, so I back it off a bit. You should be able to use the new low friction belts with it. I have some coming, so I will see what a difference they make.

XRAY has the #300944 conversion set still in stock so it should be no problem to order them.

What are the belt lengths? I have the spool pulley and ball diff pulley already but would like to use a 38t gear diff on my t2 09 as have a spare for my T3 12
