Hello to all. I own T3 '12... and very proud for that :D .

I was wondering, what are the advantages or disadvantages, what is to be expected, what makes you quicker and most important why, when:

1) you use harder/softer springs on both front and right.
2) you use harder/softer antirollbars on both front and right.
3) you use harder/softer shock oil on both front and right.
4) you heighten/lower your overall droop.
5) lowering/heightening both rear and front roll canter.
6) And a tire question: I use Sweep 36SWP tires and I get a superior handling at the first 5-6 minutes of use. Then the grip reduces a lot and all the fun goes completely away, making the car difficult to drive. I use Nosram additive and it doesn seem to help after the initial use of tires. I do not use any tire warmers. My tires tear off after 8-9 batteries. Is that normal? How could I gain more grip and make it last more. The cost for new tires in every game is big. What do you do? How long do you Keep your tires? What is the trick?

Sorry for all of that questions, but I am new to touring cars and very enthousiastic.

Wow that is some questions!
Download the setup book off the Xray site that will answer most of your questions

. How long are your race heats?

Hello Beale.

I have read that book a thousand times. It is extremely usefull and every time I find something new. Some of these information though, are in contrast with what I read in that forum. For instance, the book says for bump steer "...we strongly recommend eliminating bump steer in touring car suspensions", which I have read in that forum that a little bit of bump steer is generally needed. And again the book says that lowering rear roll center the car increases it's grip. But noone suggests lowering the roll center when someone complains about oversteering.

Nevertheless, the above questions still stand.

I know what you mean but I think people generally advise small changes till you find something that you are happy with. Personally I have run a T2 009 and a T3 12 for some time adapting from basic setups when I get stuck and the setup book is exhausted I ask on here and the answers from experienced racers always fix the problems. Eg I suffered oversteer on low grip carpet on both cars and never thought the cars were rolling too much so kept going softer on suspension and lower on the roll centre to no improvement, explained the situation on here and people that had never seen our track, my setup answered the same stand shocks up to reduce weight transfer (roll less) both cars are now great on carpet.
