Can anyone explain to me what i should expect the effect to be of running shims between the front hubs and the steering arms? I realise it is ackerman that im changing but not really sure why im doing it. Thanks |

No, your changing bump steer by adding shims on the front hubs. It's supposed to add mid corner steering. Skiddins |

2mm bumpsteer spacing should be a good starting point for outdoors. Adding more spacers gives bump-steer (and therefore roll-steer) so should give more mid-corner steering. But it will make it harder to drive over bumps, curbs etc. |

Like been said before, more mid corner steering and the car will be harder to drive as a result. 2-3mm is the ideal setting for most asphalt tracks. |
