I was curious about what you are all doing to maintain your rubber tires.

I have seen so many people saying WD40, Brake Cleaner, Motor spray and others argumenting against it.

My biggest concern is, what to use to clean tires between rounds and if tire additives should be used under very hot asphalt conditions (130F+).

Thanks.

Myself and most pro drivers use brake cleaner to clean the tires between runs, and before applying additive for the next run. Always keep your tires stored in a plastic bag so they don't dry out. After the last run of the day I don't clean the tires as this will dry them out too much before storage.

For most conditions, tire additives will improve the grip. Only on certain, extremely rough surfaces, we have found that it might do more harm than it helps.

Hello. Alex sorry I don't understand well. Do you think that you don't clean the tires after the last run of the day and before storage?? I thinked that tires storage cleaned was better than storage without cleaned.

If you clean the tires with brake cleaner before you put them in a bag they might dry out too quickly.
