For carpet, Protoform Mazdaspeed 6 Lightweight. For asphalt, Protoform LTC-R lightweight. |

I do not want to be contentious but I would like to draw a difference here between supported team drivers and the club driver, particularly inexperienced and on a limited budget. In my experience lightweight shells are just too fragile. I tried the Mazdaspeed 6 lightweight several years ago and gave up after the two I tried lasted no longer than a couple of meetings each, both being wrecked by hits from the rear. My normal Speed 6s will last me half a season and are then retired as practice shells I would accept that if your are running 17.5 blinkey then the hits are unlikely to be as hard |
