Post subject:  Different tuning options

I have seen many things in different Pro Cars.

I was wondering what effect on tuning/handling had the following:

-Adding shims to the front shocks

-Removing screws from the top deck

- -0.5mm in the rear arm holders (Do you still run this in the T4?)

-Front Diff with putty/hard oil vs. Front Spool

Thanks!

Shimmed out shocks takes away traction but makes the car smoother. Forward bite is decreased but high speed steering is increased a bit usually. We shim them out 2mm front and rear usually. Especially useful for high traction.

We remove the screws from the top of the layshaft bulkhead to make more flex or "longer" flex in the topdeck. It seems to give a lot more traction and especially in low speed corners. Will work very well for low traction conditions.

As for the 0.5mm, are you referring to the narrower rear modification which we used for the T3? Then this is not needed for the T4 as it comes with narrower rear suspension per standard by 0.75mm (each side).

Front diff with putty is a good alternative to spool. Mostly used technical carpet tracks and big asphalt tracks with many hairpins. It makes more mid corner rotation but a bit less forward traction.
