Hey guys I just finished setting my car up . I grabbed a 92T 64P spur and a 44T 64P pinion for it to achieve my FDR . However I think my spur gear might of came out as a bad mold from the factory , As when I meshed the gear it was perfectly smooth and properly meshed all the way around like butter ...but there seam to be a high spot on the spur gear as when it hits a certan spot about 1/8 inch part of it , it gets real tight then goes back to being properly meshed with the rest of the gear . I did try meshing it on the "high spot " to smooth it out but when I rolled it over to the smoother part of the gear it was way too loose ... I didnt want to even run the car as I know those teeth would last for 3 feet and be gone . The pinion is fine as I swapped it into my other touring car to see if the pinion was causing the issue and its not . Any suggestions on this ? Or should I just pitch it in the garbage and grab another gear . Thanks Will, |

Go to your local LHS to try and get it replaced. If its defective from the factory I am sure XRAY will replace it. |
