Set up sheet
xform/index.php?act=view&ID=2266&setup=t2_008

As explained in comments how I changed the setup through the day, I have run the car on foams for so long I've not needed to mess with it much.
Now using rubber tyres and trying to improve the overall traction. Some guys visited our club using Sorex 28s to great effect (in a T3 12 and Mi4 cxl)but other than in the front I can't get enough traction hence the 24s
If anyone could look at what I changed and see if I am going the right way or has any suggestions for improved slow speed steering

I would try reducing your front track width - take your 1.5 shims down to 1.15 (the thin gold ones). I would also try moving your Ackermann setting from 2 to 3; it will reduce your understeer but might unsettle the car elsewhere; I always tended to run my 009 on setting 3 occassionally 4 on tarmac.

Looks like the balance in settings needs to be a bit more even at both ends. You have quite a difference in springs, oils and shock positions.

Would perhaps have tried 2 rear camber and lower ride height all round.

Standing the rear shocks up should reduce understeer quite a lot and make it more stable out of corners.

Or in the setup sheets section, search under the track 'Maritime' which is reasonably tight and almost every setup uses Sorex 28's

Try to use 0.5mm of inboard toe-out in front (2mm track width shim at the front mountings of the front suspension) this will give more turn-in.

Try a 2.8 front spring. Doesn't help for turn-in but more mid corner definitely.

Thanks again for all of your replies, have changed to 350cst oil all round and will also try the inboard toe out on Sunday, the track layout will probably be completely different so will need to try these changes during practice and heats if the layout requires it

I have looked through the set ups for the 009 and only real difference is some raise the front roll center on the lower arms, what effect will this have and where?

Yes, we used to raise the front arms on the 008 and 009 cars. It just made the car more free and easier to drive in high speed corners as it would drive more round this way. Less edgy. It also helped to counter traction roll on high grip carpet surfaces. The car will be less precise this way but usually easier to drive.
