Hi guys I have put together my T4, and have added the uprated gold dual steering system I am running a sanwa 801, with my Futaba 4pks radio My issue is, I have everything centre on the car, and on my radio But it stll seems that I have more steering to left then to the right I have tried different radio settings, and also different servo saver positions, Im unsure on what to do next I have placed the car on a hudy setup station, toe, camber, is the same box sides, and when i do the steering geometry, it shows a massive difference in the amount of steering lock each side hope you can help Chris |

Hi Chris, you did not mention your tranmitter steering EPA function; this is what you use to equalise your total steering to the left and to the right (in terms of geometry). |

When the steering is set like in the manual (which is a compromise but correct) there's an higher steering angle to the one side than to the other side with a symmetric radio setup. This is normal as it just can be equal if all angles are 90°. This isn't possible to archive on compact modern cars and so you need to equal the left and right by the EPA as Yellowshark already stated. I.e. I've 90% and 110% set on the radio to equalize the steering. But notice that on the T4 not the steering arms / front hubs limit the steering but the center ball head screw on the Ackermann bar which hits the composite arms of the steering system does. But this is still enough steering by far. |

You are not supposed to have "full lock" where the steering block hits the c-hub. Just like you said the steering is limited by the center steering post on the ackerman bridge. Make sure that all EPA's are set to maximum and that the servo horn is centred. There are a few options to get more lock, even if only one side needs more lock: Mount the steering linkage higher on the servo. This can be done for instance by using the optional HUDY aluminum servo horn, and by using the top hole. Adjust the length of your steering links until the lock is the same left and right. Or adjust the length of the steering linkage which goes from the servo horn onto the actual steering until both sides have equal lock. |

Thanks for all your help guys it is all much appreciated Had a word with our cheif here at xray uk and I've sorted the issue now or think I have tried a few things, and found the car wont get full steering each side, so have it to the point where each side has equal amounts of degrees And the car is very good now this has been sorted But thanks for the suggestions guys |
