Hello

I've now done 2 meetings with my new T4 & have found it a little tail happy I have set the car to the basic carpet set up apart from the oils & they are as follows

Rear Diff 600cst instead of 700 supplied with kit
All shocks 40wt instead of 350cst supplied in kit

I have the front diff in the raised position so locking tab in down & the rear diff in the lowered position so locking tab up

I would say the carpet we use is low to med traction & track condition is mixed as track lay out changes each week

Thanks Allan 8)

Have you tried going thicker on the rear diff oil, say 2000cSt.

Hi on page 7 of the manual it say for low traction to use 600cst 700cst 800cst & says softer oil gives more traction

Cheers

Yes lower cst oil gives more forward traction on power but I find off power it gives less traction and the back can get loose entering a corner.
I find 700 gives better rotation on low speed corners but pushes out of a corner.
I find 1000 or more has less low speed rotation but a more stable rear end on corner entry and has more corner exit steering than 700.
So I would agree with skiddings and try heavier diff oil

Sometimes heavier diff oil can give the initial feeling of more traction because the car is less responsive and thus easier to drive in some corners. It will also be easier to drive in a straight line while on-power.
