Post subject: | New XRAY T1R Owner |
Hello All, Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. New T1R owner (should be here this week). Run nitro for a few years back in late 90's. Getting a modified T1R with Low ratio pulleys, hollow layshaft, short arm conversion, alum hubs, front one way pro, alum knuckles. Going to be running medium asphalt (slightly bumpy - unprepped) track here in Dallas. Installing Novak SS5800 BL with GP3300s. Comments and suggestions on setup, shock oil, springs, tires, etc... would be greatly appreciated. |

I went ahead and made the jump to pro stock today and loved the way everyone raced so clean! Big difference from stock class. Of course I had my behind handed to me but the 3rd qualifier I was able to stay on the same lap! The main was another experience, the leader was gone and put us down a lap but I stayed on the same lap as the rest, brought up the rear! Glad to hang with these guys and follow their line and hopefully in time I can work my way up. Everyone gave me the nod on staying clean and driving some decent lines, good bunch of guys. Also got the chance to watch Alex Lopez in 19T, he was just on rails! He owned that class all day. 2 or 3 guys came down running for Xray and I asked around looking for a alum roll center bridge, nobody could find one at the time, but when I came back to my pit after the second qaulifier it was sitting on my car stand! Thanks to whoever passed it on, that was a real nice thing to do, not to mention take the time to find my pit! Needless to say I love my car and really think Xray cares about its customers!! |
