Normally in the t3 '12 you can get 3º of rear toe with one shim of 1.5mm.

But on my car for get 3º of rear toe I must put another shims of 0.9mm.

Does anyone know why?

I have different toe as well, but I've never had to use a shim quite that big, normally around 0.4mm

Try loosening off all the metal brackets that hold the pivots and try re-tightening them.

I don't understand you at all.

You say I try to loose the screws and tight again? but the piece only has one way, that include 1º toe in.

Try loosening the screws on the metal parts and then re-tighten them while holding them in position.

It only takes them to be out of position by a very small amount to cause a problem.

Try also to switch your rear hubs from left to right. Sometimes the play for the bearing inside the hub can differ, especially if worn.

Could there be a production fault with the 2mm chassis? I've tried to switch the single piece holder on the rear suspension, turned the rear block 180 degrees, switched the rear hubs and changed the plastic lower suspension holders diagonally without any improvement.

Also checked all 4 pivot pins.

I need about 0,7mm shim on the right side and 2,2mm on the left to get 3 degrees on both sides. I just discovered with standard shims i have just over 4 degrees on the right and less than 2 degrees on the left. No wonder my car pulled a bit to one side on power.

Hi again, I think I've been using the wrong method for measuring rear toe. I used the hudy setup kit, and found .5 degree difference from left and right side (using the plastic measuring tool over the camber measuring pieces). When I add a shim to correct it, the toe changes a lot on the opposite side (about a degree). This caused the problems that I mentioned above. My theory, although probably wrong, is that the shim moves the axle further forward.

Could someone please let me know the most reliable way of measuring the rear toe?

Well I do not know if it is the most accurate but I have always used the Hudy setup station too, in the same manner you describe and it has always worked on all my XRAYs; my '12 is showing 3 degrees both sides with the 1.5mm shim on the rearmost of the two lower suspension holders.
