Post subject: | Turnbuckle positioning (roll center/ camber gain) |
Hi, I was wondering if someone could explain how altering the height of the upper turnbuckle front and back affects the car, for example at the front raising them from 1mm inner and outer to 1.5 inner and outer? Also is it right that a more angled link will give you more camber change and therefore more grip throughout the corner and that a longer link will make the car roll deeper into the corner and therefore give you less initial but more middle to exit grip? Anyones view or opinion are welcome? |

The more angled link will also lead to a higher roll center and so reduce grip on this axle. Also more camber gain doesn't give automatically more grip, this depends on your static camber setting, tracksurface and tires as well as temperature and additive... It is always a mix between different effects. |
