Post subject:  Changes between T3 2011 and T3 2012

Hello,
i got the new T3 2012, before i had the T3 2011.

1.

Is it correct, that the damper positions have been changed
in the way, that one hole outside has been removed and one hole inside has been added?
That means, i used the middle position on the ´11 now its one position outside
on both front and rear on the ´12 ?

2.

On the ´11 i used the L1 / L2 Quick Rollcenter mounts on the upper inner position.
Am i right that this position is equal to the shortest link arm position with no shims on the new mounting
system?

3.

In the manual it says that you can add a 2mm shim on the lower damper mount in the front.
If you do so, you can setup your car in a different way.
Should I only add the shim on the lower mounting to change the angle of the damper or also on the upper mounting to move the damper away from the suspension?

Greetings

Hi Thilo,

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. I never used this shim, so I don't know.

First two have been answered.

3. Moving the shock forward is supposed to smooth out the steering, I see it on setups where people seem to want the amount of steering but make it a bit easier to drive.

I haven't put shims on the front shocks for a while. :)
