Post subject: | Pros and Cons of a Hudy servo Horn compared to servo saver? |
Hi, May i know what are the Pros and Cons of a Hudy servo Horn compared to the standard T3'12 servo saver? I am currently using Ko Propo RSx digital servo( speed: 0.09sec/60 and torque: 12.0 kg-cm). Which model of the Hudy servo horn should i use ? And do i need to do any modifications to it ? Please advise.. thanks in advance. |

I am currently using Hudy alu servo horn 293491 for Ko servos. It's supposed to make the car more responsive but in a big crash you could risk breaking the gears inside the servo. No modifications needed - just replace the alu servo horn with the servo saver. |

Use the same horn that fits Futaba servos.I found that information while reading about Savox servos. Mike. |

Greetings. I was thinking about using the Hudy alu horn, avoiding the servo saver. Does anybody had any issues after a hard crush with the gears of the servo, or is it a myth? |

Personally I don't get to race/practice enough to be confident that I will not crash at some point. If a crash could break the servo, and you don't carry a spare or gear set use the saver. I have run an alloy horn but did not feel much of a difference but do remember having a crash with a saver on and the car felt tweaked for a few laps before feeling settled again. |

The Xray servo saver (like most Xray stuff) is the best available. It centres properly and doesn't give under normal cornering. Even the top Xray team drivers in the UK use it, so I follow suit to avoid potentially killing an expensive servo for no benefit. |

And team drivers from other manufactures have admitted using Xray's servo savers!! |
