Hi, Appart from adding more flex to the car, how does the new thinner topdeck effect the handling? Is it more noticable in the entry steering or in the middle part of the corner or perhaps is more noticable in rear grip, any thoughts? |

ive been running it for a couple of weeks now and it seems to provide more middle and exit of the corner speeds. |

I run on a tight and twisty carpet track, would I benifit from this topdeck or is it meant more for outdoor racing? |

Think it depends more ongrip level as opposed to the surface. I haven't tried it on carpet because I break enough parts on carpet as it is, and I can't afford to replace them often ![]() |

I lost mid corner steering when I went to the 1.6mm top deck on my T4. The car also became a bit unpredictable and unstable on direction changes. Is this normal in some cirumstances? |

This is interesting. I get better grip in corners and I feel car is easier to drive. Maybe it fits my driving style? Our tracks is a little slippery here so maybe that plays in as well. |

Could this be a sign the car is at the end of it's life? |

Well, the rule of thumb here is that a thinner top deck will usually develop a lot more mid corner steering as a result of the increased torsion ability. The car will feel more aggressive, and will absorb bumps and curbs better as you drive over them. The overall corner speed will not necessarily increase however, as the car will turn more sharply, and sometimes slow down as a result, or as we refer to it, “stop”. |

I looked back for the introduction ofthe T3 12 1.6mm top deck and Alex your answer is the same more steering but harder to drive, it worked well on our carpet track once I'd dialled in rear grip. Is it the general rule that more flex equals more steering but harder to drive? Reason I ask is I am trying to improve traction on a T3 12 and a T2 09 on low grip asphalt |

Have fitted the T3 12 top deck with a bit of modding the flex feels by hand similar to the 12 with the 1.6 deck. ( as you have on your wet car Skiddins) |
