Alex, when I add shims to the steering knuckle it seems that I get a bit more steering. When I look at the car on the bench it looks as if I should get less steering mid corner. I notice you use shims for bump steer in your set-up. Could you please explain ? Thanks. |

More shims under the steering knuckle will give you more mid corner steering, most noticeable on asphalt and bumpy tracks. |

Alex, does more or less bump steer also change ackerman?...and if so, is it the same or different than changing it inboard the standard way? Also, I know when running front toe out that reducing the static toe out can also increase mid-corner steering as this changes dynamic ackerman.. is there a preferred way or method to determining one adjustment over another? Are they finer increments per se' of the same adjustment? If you could kindly elaborate , I'd greatly appreciate... Thanks. |

You are right, when you change the toe, the ackerman is affected as well. If I remember correctly, the bumpsteer should have no influence in the ackerman setting. |
