Im curious what steering servo's Alex and the xray team uses. Does it matter how fast the servo operates. Im using a Futaba low profile brushless servo at present. I now a fellow racer who turns the steering speed down on his handset. Im wondering if a faster servo would be better ?? |

I have generally gone for the fastest I could get (with fairly good torque, 8Kg/cm or so) so that there is as little delay as possible between my inputs and what the steering actually does. I belive some of the latest radios can make the steering and servo response insanely fast. At the ETS Alex had a full size Savox servo installed but I'm not sure which model |

From the pictures i have seen, Alex is using the KO RSx Response servo. 0.06s @60°(7.4V)/0.07s @60°(6.0V) 17.6 kg-cm(7.4V)/14.5 kg-cm(6.0V) http://ets.redrc.net/wp-content/gallery ... rgt3-4.jpg |

You can't go wrong with any of the "high end" servos available as all those will have enough torque and speed. To be honest I have tried other manufacturers servos in the past and I was always impressed by how quick the RSx reacts to steering input, as well as the holding power in high speed corners. Anyway. A high end servo with 10kg or more is enough for this application. |

Is 10kg of torque needed?? At the moment I have the Futaba low profile brushless which has 9.2 kg. The speed is 0.10 sec @ 6.0v. Im thinking of getting a sanwa servo like the SDX 801 or the SRG BLS any thoughts on these ??? |

One of the WLRC racers runs a Sanwa with 7Kg of torque and he says it's fine. Skiddins |
