Hello everybody. What do you think about put glue when tire are news? And, put more amount of glue? or thin amount of glue? Has it a influence on the lateral grip? Regards. |

I mean tyre glue. I think when the tyre has more amount of glue, the tyre will have less lateral grip. And when there are less amount of glue, the tyre have more lateral grip. Correct? |

I'm assuming you mean adding glue to the sidewalls of the tyre when carpet racing etc. I only glue the tyres otherwise if they are starting to come apart. If you do glue the sidewalls of the tyres it might add a small amount of understeer. |

We glue the front sidewall to minimize traction roll. I used it last weekend at the ETS in Poland for example. I always add an extra layer of glue between the tire and rim to a fresh set of tires to make sure that the factory gluing doesn't come apart (it can happen, with some tires more than others, of course, the Sorex from Schumacher have a very good gluing while Ride and LRP isn't as secure). |
