I am using the x-ray t3 2012 eu rubber spec chassis with the orca 4.5 t motor and vrittra speed control race spec mark 2 using 2s lipo orca 7.4v 6500mah 70c what is the best pinion and spur gear with this? for all round speed and as to not burn it all out??? still in the process of building it and want to get it right as my local hobby shop have suggested 64t with the settings i have for my esc but asked me to contact you to confirm the best set up. If you can let me know it would be very much appreciated. Regards Scott01 |

Need to know what track you'll be running on. Do you have any pictures of it, that might help. |

Thanks for your reply have not got a track as yet but when i get back to Thailand i will be heading to Bangkok there is plenty around there and i will get you a photo. For now kind of setting the car for high speed as my esc has been modified with the turbo on it the guys at my hobby shop in singapore x-ray team have kind of calculated it to be around 64t did not realise there was so much maths involved, and not sure whether they have set this for a short course etc. Would 64t pinion with 64t spur in your experience what kind of track would this be good for? thanks for your help. |

I find a good starting point for an unknown track is around 8.8FDR and then working up or down from there. As long as you keep an eye on temps during the run it should be OK. Try 25t pinion to 116t spur and go from there. |

Hi scott, You could try 84T 48dp(stock spur gear) and 18T 48dp pinion with 8,8 FDR. Make sure that motor temprature after a few laps is OK. |
