Proud owner of my new Xray t3'2012. before i begin the car is set up to basic carpet set up. but i'm in need for some help on improving traction on my car. the rear end of the car wants to spin out or loose traction go into a drift, when entering corner if not taken with care Just annoys me that i have to back off the power often to keep clean laps. what are my next step and what should i try to solve this problem. also i dont want to alter the way the car enters and leaves the corners just after grip on the rear during the night racing i tryed little things such as: lowered my ride height by 1mm all round altered rear shock position inwards by two positions turned punch, timing, boost, turbo delay down altered rear anti-roll bar position to inwards position do i put these back to standard set up and change the gear diff oil to a lighter grade? is diff oil different different to shock oil does it matter what i use as they both lubricants? currently run on carpet, indoor venue , use sorex 26 tyres all round with mazda 6 shell, run brushless 10.5 one more question how long do rubber tyres last for before changing them just because i used them on my t3'2011 all year. The tyre looks good condition but wondered if this would also give me trouble due to wear, the pre-glued tyres are starting to come off the rim as you can pull back the tyre slightly. but no rips or anything in the tyre wall or tyre cheers chris |

Is the carpet track low traction? Did you try to remove the shim on the upper link on the bulkhead? Didnt tried it yet but it should be like L1+L2 on previous car which worked on my T2'009. You can also try to make the front harder to have more grip on the rear. Tires make the biggest difference! Sorex 26? Not 36 or 28? I am slower on a 2 month old tire set than on a new one (driven for 2-3 runs). Did you do all changes together or one by one? What was the difference? |

sorex 28's sorry , there about year old now (whats life span on these tires?) basically been used for club meetings all year round. these changes where done 1 by 1 during the racing which did improve the car everytime but just need these little teathing problems ironed out. also lap times got more consistent also. after you telling me about your tires i think mine are shot and nothing is the matter with my car Im new to this gear diff and just need a better understanding. so if you have thinner oil wodn't this give me more rear traction or have i got this the wrong way round |
