XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi all! Should I get more steering response with front shocks more upright or more inclined at my T3 2012?

I believe more upright.

I was told to do that when the front of my car was understeering slightly through corners on carpet.

Worked well.

Hmn. If you straighten them you will reduce lateral grip which in my book will increase understeer, everything else being equal. It is cetainly one of the areas I will change if I am suffering from understeer, although not that often with XRAYs I find!

I found it just helps with that initial bite through the corner.
It was advice from someone else having seen my car and it definitely helped me to carry a bit more speed through the corner.

Um ..... thanks for the comments. Might have to work it out on the track later this week.

More upright makes less turn in but more mid corner rotation, especially noticeable in low speed corners such as hairpins. The car will feel more responsive but may actually have less overall steering.

With more laydown the car will have more entry steering but the increased roll will slow down left to right transition and thus the car will feel less responsive.
