I understand that the raising the front upper link increases roll which seems to smooth out the steering , especially when driving on carpet, but what is the main handling effect when raising the rear upper link? Also, would you run a longer or shorter link at the rear on a fast flowing carpet layout? I struggled today with my car at EWS despite trying a few things to calm the car down, it was too tail happy in almost every run. Skiddins |

Hi Skiddins, Raising the rear link on the upper bulkheads will free the rear of the car up in the corners and should increase cornerspeed. It tends to give the feeling of the rear end floating around a little more rather than feeling locked down. Are you racing at the International Memorial Cup at the EWS venue? If so come over for a chat! Ive had some good sucess with the 2012 car recently at the Ardent Virgin Winter Series, I finished 3rd behind Elliot Harper and Andy Moore. The car was amazing all weekend and so easy to drive! All 3 of my qualifying times were within 2 tenths of each other. It was mega competative with the likes of Chris Grainger, Olly Jefferies, Kyle Branson, Jonny Aird, Chris Kerswel, Ben Cosgrove, Stefan Chodzynski, Matt White, Colin Price, James Hart and Ryan Edwards all racing in the 10.5t class. I'll be posting my setup on here shortly. Hope this helps, Phil Chambers Team XRAY UK |
