Would like to ask what the function of the foam inserts at shocks is? How would they affect the car handling? Thanks!

Those foams should make the shocks work more constant. (EDITED)

They provide slightly more steering. I usually use them. Only when the traction is super high, I remove them as I get slightly less steering and the car would traction roll less.

When would you know to remove the foam bits to reduce steering? i find it hard to change the correct thing on the car. There are so many options to reduce steering. How would you know it change the foams in the shocks rather than other options?

Luke,

I do this when I want to reduce steering but only very little, it is not super big change. If I need to reduce a lot of steering, than I would do something else. It also depends if I need to remove in-corner steering, mid-corner steering. It is just the question of experience. There are so many ways how to reduce steering, you need to try all of them to understand which change fits best your driving style
