whilst part number XR971240 O ring for the gear diff works perfectly its quite apparent that it can only be used once. Now usually i am not one to moan but i cant get this part in the uk at the moment its been three weeks now. so i have had to go back to a very old ball diff which is killing me, all this just over a tiny o ring. now is there any other aftermarket rings out there ![]() is there a better updated one coming that doesnt stretch ![]() is there a homemade mod i could use to get my gear diff up and running before they come back into stock ![]() help ![]() |

just cut your o ring and stick it by oil to smaller part of diff that should help. I made it and works as new |

Also run with a used o-ring that i have cutted. Used a little green slime and it worked |

Just don't use the o ring. A lot of factory drivers (eg Paul LeMieux) are not using it. It seems the paper gasket is enough for them. |

I bought me an xray geardiff and there was no o-ring inside!! I don't know why. But when i read the other post's i think i'll try it without the o-ring. I hope that it works and it doesn't leak!!?? |

You can get the O-Rings (24mm x 0.7mm) from a well known auction site for a lot less. They are used for wristwatch backs. HTH |

Guys, you do not need to use o-ring. The paper gasket protects the diff from leaking, so even without o-ring, the diff will not leak |
