Hi i was at a very large indoor track on carpet. I was running a t3 2012 with kit setup with 450 oil all around the track had big sweepers and a tight hairpin section. we was using sorex 32 which made the track low to medium traction. the problem was i needed to generate alot more overall grip in the car. there was no hint of traction rolling by anyone. I need to have alot more grip in the front of the car with being able to direction change fast in the hairpins and also increase corner speed with less push on exit. any ideas on setup to get more grip would be verry helpfull thanks. |

Please post your setup so we can see where your going wrong, maybe try raising your front shocks for now. |

I think the grip not depend of setup, it dependes of tracks conditions. You can get more steering, power, etc. changing the setup of the car. Tires and track is what let grip to performance. I too think you have to pute the setup for suggestions. Regards. |

He did say it's the standard kit setup, the only difference was 450 oil. Martin, where did you end up (I'm assuming EWS), I made the C Final last time but struggled badly today) Skiddins |

Hi, to get more traction, put 350 shock oil, 2.8 springs in the front and 2.6 in the rear (When is very low traction, I sometimes use 2.6 in front and 2.4 in the rear) Than 1.3 anti roll bar in the front. For sure, use short upper linkages (the outside hole on the upper bulkheads) This will give you more steering in the front and more traction in the rear. Let me know if it helps |

Cheers martin will try this. Also I forgot to say that I didn't have foams in shock, would this help? And I was thinking of putting 2 piece suspension holder in front for more flex. What are your thoughts on this? |

Hi skiddings yes it was ews. It was my first time this season and was well of the pace in the tight section. People that I am usually close with at other tracks was 0.7 seconds a lap quicker. I could feel I needed a lot more grip and a mate watched my car and said it was lacking bite compared to other cars |

Hi Guys I was running the t3-12 yesterday at ews, i was 5th overall in the end, and the car was very good, with better driving i could have been a bit higher up i felt. Anyway i was standard to kit setup except: 450cst Shock Oil All Round, with 50% rebound 1000cst gear diff oil Short Rear Link Front Shocks one hole in (laid down) Rear shocks two holes in (laid down) Speed 6 Shell HPI Silver Front Springs (Same as 2.8??) HPI Blue Rear Springs (same as 2.6??) Tyres where cleaned with brake cleaner, and then used lrp additive, full rear for 30 minutes, full front for 20 minutes I will get my full setup posted on here in time for round 4 (in case i have missed anything) (not sure if i will get a chance this week.....) Thanks Mark |

Martin, If you put two piece, you will get more steering, but you can break the chassis if you hit the board hard. Forgot to say, if you want more traction, use longer additive on tires. When is low traction, I use LRP carpet additive, 1 hour in the rear and 20 minutes in the front. |

There is no point to use HPI silver and blue as they are same hardness as our 2.8 and 2.6. We check every single spring in our company and match them. This means that you get exactly same springs in the kit. This nobody else do and I had a chance to check HPI springs and each of them was slightly different hardness. |

Martin I ran the t3 2010 with the 2 piece front suspension holders for a year with no problems and I liked it better than the 2011 with the one piece in. So it's something I would like to try. And thanks guys for all your input I have many things to try for the next round now |

sorry for my question: (OT) for an asphalt runway at low tension, since you should set the total length of the shock absorbers (tip)? I've set them all 4 to 63.00 mm. There is a table, says that the recommended length of the shock absorbers, for carpet and asphalt tracks in the second of the track is low, medium or high traction? (A bit like the rebound) Than'k reply and sorry for the offtopic yet |
