Hello , i have a problem with front drife shaft 52mm std of box:
Each time around the track with my T3 2012, the pin that holds the driveshaft to the upright, leaves a bit and rubs against the C-Hub ... Why?
How do I fix it?

PS: The grain is tight, with the thread locker medium.
Thank's
Stefano

you need to be 100% sure the grub screw is locating into the flat on the pin, itf it is the pin can not come out unless the screw comes loose

the pin that is comin out has a small flat bit , the screw should tighten into that.
on your picture on the bottom left in the box there is a small white arrow, make sure the screw hits the cut away part

yes ok, but the problem is this, is the pin after the first round, out of 2-3mm from the upright, creating a strange noise, and touching the C-HUB .. Why do I get the pin?
you do it?

Wheat, is screwed to the pin. following the small excavation on the pin. (controlled)

PS according to my dealer, this problem is due to too much steering angle, along with vibazioni, the pin comes out .... then I said to reduce the sub-trim ... what do you think?

Hi,

Too much angle has nothing to do with the reason why your pin comes out. The car is designed to get maximum steering (of course make sure that the steering block does not touch c-hub, than it would make the car tweaked).

In order to protect the pin to come out, make sure to place set screw on the slot on the pin. Make sure that you have fresh thread lock, when is too old, it does not hold well. Make sure to put thread lock in the evening, to allow to dry it. When you put thread lock and you go to the track immadiately, it will not dry and than it will loose.

the pin with the flat spot doesn't come in the kit does it?

i had to buy some for my kit

if the original poster is using the pin without the slot that would be why he is continuously loosing the pin out of the driveshaft

No, in the kit there are no pins with a flat spot. You have to buy them. Or use a dremel and create a flat spot on your own.

Here is the part number:

http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/produc ... Name=Drive Shaft Pin 2x10 with Flat Spot (2)

But you can make the slots as guys adviced with dremel. The blue locktide is best so there is no problem

Actually I prefer red locktite.
In case I need to remove the screw I just heat it with a soldering iron or a lighter if I find any difficulties.
I have now moved on to ECS front driveshafts, these come with slotted pins. I also put a piece of heat shrink on them and never had a problem since then.
