Good Day All!, I must admit, I am a HUGE RC Car fan, mostly have 2 stroke, and a few brushless rides. I was taken back a few weeks ago by the beauty of the T3 2012 so I order that, a teken esc/motor combo and all of the toppings. Is there any advice/gotchas you can give me for the build? I plan on mostly racing it on the street, setting cones up etc...nothing elaborate (yet)...anyway, I am very excited to get into some on road action and see you guys have a fantastic helpful community here. Thank You |

If you are going to race on an uneven, low traction surface, I suggest that you use higher ride height. A good starting point is 6mm front and 6.5mm rear, and thus you need to adjust your downstops accordingly. 5 front and 4 rear should work. Soft shock oil, no anti-roll bars and soft springs are a good idea as well! |

Thank you for all of the suggestions. Question, why not use the anti-roll bars? |

Thank you so the idea is not to have super grip on asphalt or the car will roll easily? |

this is interesting. I am so excited to get into this hobby. It is going to be a lot different than bashing my baja and other brushless off roaders around! I need to read up on the mechanics of these cars, does anyone recommend any publications that go over the specifics? |

excuse my ignorance on the topic, but if it is jumping around and unstable, why take them off when running on asphault? |

I need to read up on this stuff BIG TIME...I am obviously a newbie. If anyone knows of any novice publication to read (i.e. for this type of terrain, these setups work and the specifics are meant for X, Y, Z). Thank you guys. |

May I suggest "XXX-MAIN: RC touring car chassis setup guide" by Martin Crisp. www.xxxmain.com Also if you have an iphone, ipad or android phone you can download his app which covers all of the book material. http://www.setupworkbench.com/ I find it the best written, easy to comprehend book on rc touring setup. |

Hi, antirollbars prevent the chassis from rolling too much which is good until a certain point of the track's traction is undergone. The more a chassis rolls, the more mechanical grip it could generate (again up to a certain point). This is needed on low-traction surfaces like parking lots. The perfect setup always is as soft as possible and as hard as needed. |
