I have the Multi Diff but it doesn't work in my T3 because the T3 the front diff is turned the other way. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I can't flip the belts on the center spur because the belt hen hits the servo arm (fixable if I flip the servo sideways), but then it hits the motor mount brace and the pinion gear on the motor. The T2 has the front diff the opposite way (long side to the left). Has the Multi Diff seen it's last days. I can still run it on my 2007 but it's shame Xray's engineering made this happen. Another beef is that you need to use a spur gear made by Xray or you can't reach the motor mount screw. Tell me that wasn't intentional. ![]() '07 T2 with Bearing Block mounts '07 T2 with Solid Front One Way '07 T2 with Front and Rear Diffs '11 T3 Stock |

Sorry for the repost. I searched and found my answer. The Multi Diff is a different part in the T3. I was just saying that you buy an Xray for the engineering and you pay the price. I should know I own 5 of them. But they don't need to squeeze you for more. I can see how they could have designed the car to be able to still use the $75 multi diff from the T2. Still, two little gripes. 1. You need a Xray made spur gear (with the holes in them) to reach the motor mount screw. 2. When will they update the Setup book? Even the setup book for the T3 2012 is for the T2. Just a little grumpy today. |

I agree with Blackadder, there have been are number of upgrades which are not included in the manual Ackerman does not reference the quicksaver Roll centre does not reference the quick adjusters No reference to the diff height adjustment No reference to gear diffs (they drive differently to ball diffs) Etc. It is a great manual but was written at the time of the T2 (which was 006) and many things are missing. The concepts are the same (mostly) but the methods of implementation have changed. |

Xray updated the diff outdrive dimensions in '08. 305102 is the original and the 305104 is for '08+ models. If you've owned 5 Xrays, you should know this. ![]() If you guys want a real setup manual read Tune to Win by Carrol Smith. Go get a good coffee and cheer up guys! ![]() (Or goto the AE website and check out the support section for the their car. You'll come back so happy to have an Xray, lol (just trying to give a counter point here, not trying to hate on anyone)) |

Don't worry Wheelnut I don't think anyone is really criticising, just noting that given XRAY's talent for perfection not having an update after so long is a bit out of character. Its a bit like Steve issuing the iPad2 |

I see it the same way. 'We' are 'complaining' at super high level about things that other brands' users don't even got in mind because they don't have so much awesome option parts and systems available. ![]() |
